Once Upon a Hungry Lunch Break

I had sinned.
After four days of eating near-perfect, I committed the ultimate abomination by leaving my Tupperware of eggs and oats on the table. Which would likely torture my senior dog, who I guarantee spent all morning sniffing and whining at them, as he now lacks the "uppies" to steal them off the table.

Some days, I miss the high school cafeteria, and this was one of them. "Just take my lunch token and gimme all the calories, lunch-lady!"

My mom was the lunch lady. I did not speak this way to her.

As my hunger gained strength, I took a page from my own book. "Progress>perfection." There were many salad-capable restaurants around. So, naturally,  I got on the Chic-Fil-A app and searched for what the lord could provide that would fit my needs.

No.
No.
OOOOooo- but no.
Aha! The Grilled deluxe sammich without a drink or fries was only 5 grams of carbs over my needs. I hit the "My pleasure button" and gave them my money.

Please do not ask me about this button. If you don't know already- just go get some of the lord's chicken.

I left the drive-through, food in my belly and happiness in my heart, knowing I had adapted to keep up my weight loss, even when the circumstances weren't in my favor.

Even if I made those circumstances by annoying an old dog, who was absolutely still sniffing the table when I came home that night.

Progress >Perfection

Have Fun- J
