How You'll Die (Most Likely)

Quick! Imagine THREE things that will kill you.

I doubt you did that, but if you did, I bet they fit into one of these buckets:

  • Kinetic: Car wrecks, falls, gunshots.
  • Genetic: A defect or genetically transmitted disease.
  • Toxic: You fall into a vat of acid, or worse, Round Up™.
  • Microbic: Ebola, COVID.

These four buckets account for 20% of deaths and about 14% of our medical spend.

What's 400% more likely to kill you is type 2 diabetes or a stroke. Those fall into the fifth bucket- chronic.

The chronic bucket accounts for 80% of deaths and 86% of our medical spend.

We forget about the chronic disease bucket, yet it's the one most likely to take us out.

What do you do about that?

  1. Get off the carbs. I mean refined/processed carbs.
  2. Get off the couch.
  3. Tell your friends and family about it.
